As seen in our 2021 ceremony, we are asking you to join us for our 2022 ceremony. The Village of Islandia will hold a special ceremony at the First Responders Memorial in honor of the memory of five local first responders who were killed during the 9/11 attacks:

William J. Mahoney, Jr.
Mayor Allan M. Dorman will be joined by village safety officers, local first responders and members of the Col Francis S. Midura Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #12144 and the Korean War Veterans Association, Central Long Island Chapter, for those who lost their lives on that day.

2023 Street Sweeping
This schedule is designed so that residents only have to be concerned with having their cars off the street for one day during the street sweeping week.
ALL VEHICLES, trailers, portable basketball hoops, etc., must be removed from the streets during the above dates and times. There is no garbage pickup scheduled on these days, which will avoid any pails left in the path of the sweepers.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping to “Keep Islandia Clean.”
