The Village of Islandia holds several special events throughout the year, such as defensive driving in February and the annual Easter egg hunt in April. In addition, the village hosts picnics, and other recreational activities such as Paint Night, Pumpkin Fest, and Movies under the Stars.

First Responders Recreational Ball Field
Opened in 2018, the state-of-the-art baseball and softball field includes a 9/11 memorial, bleachers, and a concession stand. The ballfield is available for rent to men’s and women’s leagues for baseball and softball games, respectively. Senior Center
The center gives the village’s older residents the opportunity to connect with other people in the area and enjoy community activities. This includes book club, lectures, watching movies, and playing games to provide opportunities for Islandia residents. Read More
VFW Hall
The Col. Francis S. Midura VFW Post #12144 operates out of Islandia’s VFW Hall located at 1218 Old Nichols Road. The Post was established in 2015. In keeping with the mission of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, we are here to foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts and advocate on behalf of all veterans.
