Mayor Dorman Honored by the Suffolk County Office of Women’s Services and Veterans Services

Theme of the Ceremony: “A Salute to Military Women”

On March 23, Allan M. Dorman, Mayor, Village of Islandia, was one of the honorees at a special ceremony hosted by the Suffolk County Office of Women’s Services and Veterans Services. The ceremony was held at Husk and Vine Kitchen and Cocktails in St. James.

The theme of the event was “A Salute to Military Women.” Mayor Dorman, a Vietnam veteran and a U.S. Marine, was honored for the work he has done for woman veterans. Last December, he transferred the deeds and keys of three houses to three female veterans who he considered to be deserving.
