
Helen Keller Services gathered with elected officials and board members in Islandia on June 18 to have a groundbreaking ceremony for the first learning center for children with disabilities on Long Island. The new preschool located at 11 Oval Dr. is set to open in the fall of 2026, and Nassau County is set to receive a second location at 303 Sunnyside Blvd. in Plainview several months later.
