On November 10, over 150 runners from across Long Island took part in the VFW Post #12144’s 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk during Veterans Day weekend. The event began with a Kids Fun Run, followed by the 5K, where top male and female finishers were awarded prizes. After the race, participants and spectators enjoyed a BBQ featuring hamburgers and hot dogs, with a special giveaway of tickets to the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular. Proceeds from the event went to support local war veterans.
