Mayor Dorman joined Village Board Members on May 23 to announce the demolition of a dilapidated five-family structure located at 59 South Bedford Avenue, as the Village launched its Neighborhood Redevelopment Program.
The Village acquired the property and is pleased to announce that it was sold to a developer who is constructing two new single-family homes on the property, which will help enhance local property values. The Village is currently looking to address and redevelop up to five more properties throughout the Village.
As part of the program, the Village seeks to improve available housing and local quality of life throughout the Village. The Village will take action to enforce the Village Code, prevent or remove squatters and find solutions to improve these properties.
